Out of Exile

Join us on August 12th for a night of Live Music, DJs, Speakers, Dance, Performance, Info booths on World issues, Trunk Show and an Art Exhibition. Out of Exile is a protest event raising awareness of the closure of the photography exhibition titled "Into Exile: Tibet 1949-2009". The peaceful exhibition was shut down by the Bangladeshi government in November 2009 by two buses of riot police. The Curator of the show, a dear friend of our community, has since been subject to severe harassment and intimidation by local authorities. We have organized this support event in solidarity with her plight. For the benefit of all beings, the west coast underground has united to make a stance for non-violent Resistance against worldwide injustices & censorships.
